El paciente, que sólo ha ido al médico para una revisión anual, tiene encuentros sexuales cada tres días, con deseo y erecciones de grado 4, lo que significa suficiente rigidez y firmeza para mantener una relación sexual: no presenta ninguna disfunción. Este cuadro clínico es envidiable y de una persona al que se le puede considerar un héroe.
En el archivo aparece la descripción del personaje en cuestión: Hombre masculino de 56 años, con antecedentes heredo familiares de salud no significativos, dieta mediterránea rica en antioxidantes, pescado, fibras y verduras desde la infancia. Actividad intelectual, física y lúdica frecuente, teatro y baile. Fecha de nacimiento: 1753. Nombre: Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla.
“¿Usted viene a revisión o a presumir?”, le pregunta el doctor y sólo le recomienda seguir con su estilo de vida y regresar dentro de un año a consulta.
Con la intención de presentar al héroe alejado de la imagen de santidad, la cual nos distancia de la comprensión de sus actos y pasiones, este diagnóstico lo ha hecho el médico y psicoterapeuta sexual David Barrios, quien no se ha transportado en el túnel del tiempo para describir este escenario, sino que ha revisado la biografía de Miguel Hidalgo para poder lanzar este diagnóstico hipotético.
En ocasión del Bicentenario de la Independencia de México de la corona española y el Centenario de la Revolución, lo ha hecho con Hidalgo, pero también con otros famosos, como José María Morelos y Pavón, María Ignacia Rodríguez, Porfirio Díaz y Francisco Villa.
El especialista se ha sumergido en la lectura de más de 12 libros de bibliografía existente. Entre ellos: Arrebatos Carnales, de Francisco Martín Moreno, el libro de Pancho Villa. Una biografía narrativa, de Paco Ignacio Taibo II y el de Porfirio Díaz: del héroe al dictador, Una biografía política, de Paul H Garner.
Asegura que su análisis literario para este tema es didácticamente válido.
“Si apelamos al rigor histórico e historiográfico, los biógrafos de estos personajes nos podrían objeciones. Por eso he aclarado que usamos licencias imaginativas y deducciones a partir de los datos disponibles”, comenta Barrios.
Héroes y heroínas al desnudo
“Se ha visto a héroes y heroínas con un sentido hagiográfico o de santificación que excluye los aspectos sexuales. Esto es erróneo, porque al no desmitificar a los personajes y dejar de mostrar sus aspectos humanos, deja también de vérseles como personas, lo cual nos distancia de la comprensión de sus actos y sus pasiones”, explica Barrios.
Para el especialista en temas sexuales, quien aclara que este ejercicio es un homenaje antes que una denostación, las emociones y sentimientos muchas veces son el motor energético que mueve a emprender acciones trascendentes, o cuando menos las motiva.
Barrios considera que seguramente algunas de las decisiones políticas de los personajes de la Independencia de México y de la Revolución Mexicana se vieron influenciadas por sus lazos amorosos-eróticos-sexuales.
“El tema sexual importa mucho para la cabal comprensión del héroe o heroína en su vida afectiva, amorosa y erótica. Las pulsiones humanas no sólo son parte fundamental de la personalidad, sino, en ocasiones, la razón de su paso por el mundo. Sin sexualidad, el ser humano simplemente no es”, dice.
Para realizar este ejercicio, donde simuló que los personajes de la historia lo habían consultado como sexólogo, David Barrios puso especial atención en las relaciones fraterno-amorosas, pero además en factores de estilo de vida, como el estrés, alimentación, ejercicio e historia de vida de los héroes.
Es así como en Pancho Villa, el sexólogo encontró una disfunción eréctil secundaria severa, de etiología ansiógena, estrés crónico y sobrepeso. “He andado muy nervioso, desde antes de andar en la Revolución pienso que me van a venadear… ni cuando cojo estoy tranquilo”, ha dicho el paciente.
Histórico estrés
Villa se depuso las armas en 1920 y se fue a descansar a una hacienda de Canutillo, Durango. En ese periodo es cuando consulta a Barrios, quien encontró que a Villa le gustaba la carne asada, las malteadas de fresa y las palanquetas de cacahuate. Sin duda una dieta rica en grasas y carbohidratos, que pueden obstruir la circulación de la sangre y en consecuencia la posibilidad de una buena erección.
Actualmente, las cifras de disfunción eréctil puede ser manifestación de aterosclerosis de arterias penianas en cerca de 50% de los casos.
Durante la entrevista con el especialista, ha dicho que tiene relaciones sexuales cada tres días, con deseo, pero acompañado de erecciones de grado 1 o 2, lo que implica falta de rigidez para penetrar. Por temor a su desempeño, el jefe de la Revolución Mexicana, originario de Durango, evade los encuentros amorosos.
Pancho Villa muere a los 45 años con un historial de más de 35 mujeres con las que se relacionó sexualmente. Es reconocido por aquel ataque a Colombus, Estados Unidos, el 9 de marzo de 1916, acontecimiento que fue y sigue siendo el único caso donde una fuerza militar extranjera ha atacado territorio estadounidense desde la guerra británica-estadounidense de 1812.
El tratamiento para el conocido como “Centauro del Norte” es la psicoterapia y la terapia de pareja, pues se identificó que su estrés, provocado por su creencia constante de que podrían asesinarlo, no le permitía desenvolverse satisfactoriamente en la cama. El malestar por la persecución era tal, que nunca se sentaba dando la espalda a la puerta.
El médico también le recetó una dieta específica, ejercicio moderado y la valoración del uso de sildenafil, conocido como la pastilla azul o viagra. Villa recurría como paliativo a su padecimiento a los tés de damiana y tila, orégano, cebolla.
A los hombres de hoy, como en aquel entonces a Villa, se les presiona para que sean cumplidores de estereotipos fundados en el ámbito sociocultural de México. Surgen los miedos a ser débiles, a no ser varoniles, proveedores, “sexpertos” o por no tener apetito sexual, erección y no dar placer.
No se puede decir de manera general que las condiciones vividas, de sobresaltos, por los personajes de la Independencia y del Bicentenario, determinen su vida sexual. Lo cierto es que el estrés socava el erotismo y puede producir reducción del apetito sexual.
Disfunción heredada
“José María Morelos y Pavón compartía esta disfunción, y se puede decir que al igual que Villa y muchos otros personajes, tenían relaciones sexuales sin placer e imitando una estrofa del trío de cantantes Los Panchos, con angustia, ansiedad y desesperación”, explica el especialista en temas de sexo.
Hace 100 y 200 años se hablaba de impotencia o falta de virilidad. Los datos que se tienen señalan que este mal de la vida sexual no se trataba, excepto con remedios tradicionales que a lo mucho tenían efecto placebo, como la ingestión de mariscos frescos, caldo de iguana, ala de tiburón, pollas, ajo crudo y mosca española (cantaridina, sustancia que sólo inflamaba el pene).
Hace más de 40 años, a la falta de poder mantener una erección satisfactoria para el desempeño sexual, los médicos le llamaban “impotencia”, considerado un concepto peyorativo.
Desde los años 70, algunos sexólogos le llamaban “incompetencia eréctil” sin embargo, la denominación de Disfunción Eréctil (DE) cobra mayor popularidad con el Viagra, hace 12 años, poco antes de salir al mercado.
Barrios asegura que la píldora azul hubiera tenido un gran éxito en esas épocas, a pesar de que la expectativa de vida era reducida. “Creo que sus usuarios hubiesen sido los hombres maduros y muy añosos. No había tanta patología del desarrollo de la enfermedad y la gente moría más joven”, comenta.
En cuanto a Porfirio Díaz, quien nació en 1830 y murió en 1915, el especialista encontró que también padecía disfunción eréctil por una causa orgánica, pues tenía 72 años cuando necesitó de los servicios de David Barrios.
Descripción del caso: relaciones sexuales cada 15 días, con deseo, erecciones con poca rigidez. El cuadro presenta 4 años de evolución. Triglicéridos y colesterol “malo” elevados. Tratamiento: dieta específica, ejercicio moderado, estatina para disminuir el colesterol, sildenafil, valorar terapia de pareja.
En la revisión se halló cómo Porfirio Díaz traiciona los ideales liberales al declarar por escrito, a cambio de ser casado por la iglesia con su sobrina Delfina, que la religión católica, apostólica y romana fue la de sus padres y que en ella ha de morir. “Que cuando he protestado guardar y hacer guardar la Constitución Política de la República, lo he hecho en la creencia de que no contrariaba los dogmas fundamentales de mi religión y que nunca hubo voluntad de herirla”, dijo.
Es justo por estas escenas que el especialista David Barrios subraya la importancia del ámbito amoroso-erótico-sexual. Además, se descubre el papel de la mujer como acompañante que determina acciones de los personajes.
¿Y las mujeres?
Por ejemplo, en la época de Independencia se identifica a María Ignacia Rodríguez la “Güera Rodríguez”, a quien se le identifica como una mujer fuera de su época, ya que era toda una experta en el tema del sexo y se convirtió en amante de Agustín de Iturbide, Simón Bolívar y Alejandro Von Humboldt.
A esta mujer se le atribuye el logro del famoso “Abrazo de Acatempan” entre Iturbide y Vicente Guerrero, acuerdo al que siguió la proclama del Plan de Iguala y en consecuencia la proclamación de la Independencia de México.
David Barrios asegura que, además de la “Güera Rodríguez”, otras biografías dignas de mujeres a revisar en el periodo de Independencia por tener un desempeño importante en el ámbito sexual es la de Leona Vicario, quien financiaba con su propia fortuna la insurgencia y la de Gertrudis Bocanegra, quien armó una red de comunicación entre las principales sedes de la rebelión independentista. Aunque en menor medida, el especialista sexual también destaca el desempeño de la también famosa Corregidora Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez.
David Barrios ya se encuentra preparando el análisis de otros personajes de la historia de México.
Entre los ahora elegidos están figuras como Agustín de Iturbide, Francisco Javier Mina, los hermanos Ricardo y Enrique Flores Magón y Emiliano Zapata, que por referencias epistolares dirigidas a hombres y mujeres se puede deducir que era bisexual.
Mientras, para David Barrios y para muchos otros hombres y mujeres, Hidalgo podría ser en verdad su héroe, no sólo por su logro de la independencia de México. La historia de nuestro país no se escribiría diferente, pero sí se le agregarían algunos otros logros.
